Betty took such great shots of the turkeys and I have been watching the ones around our yard and woods to see if I could catch one with full feathers. The problem is they start leaving the second I go outside. But I did get some shots. Skinny little hen, puffed up Tom so full of himself. The woods are still so dry and dead looking and the turkeys really blend in well.
He's thinking....Don't hate me because I'm Beautiful
Off he goes into the woods,
Wait, wait, Please don't go until you show off you feathers. Well.......OK since you asked nicely.
Now like Betty I won't rest until I can get his picture in the yard without all the trees in front of him. Its a mission.

These are great!! And I like how he's hidden away a bit with his feathers full...it's almost like he's bashful.
GREAT job!
I'm not sure, but I think I may have seen a turkey (or some other huge thing) in our yard the other day)

He is just soooooooooo full of himself! Typical male....Ü
GREAT SHOTS!!

Those are great.
If you keep going out, he may get enough used to you that you WILL get the photo that you seek.
Nothing like a mission....
:)
Those are great shots. I love the one of him in the trees, that looks like he is in his natural habitat which he is. Thanks for sharing. Helen
Hahahahaha, I'm starting to think it is November with all the turkeys showing up in journals now. You did a wonderful job with these turkeys, and I'm so glad that you were polite when you asked him to spread his feathers. They are quite noble looking.

Great shots!! Since I got my lens not one in my yard and barely a bird.....
GRRRRRRRR

The only way to bag...a turkey. lol. I know how hard it is to try and take shots of wild turkeys, their necks move back and forth...when they walk. I agree with all the comments. GREAT SHOTS!! ~Deborah
