Your Monday Photo Shoot: Such Great Heights
John has a neat assignment this week. I don't fly if I can help it but I did get someone who does to show their viewpoint of the world. This was taken earlier last year.
The next picture was up on the ridge at one of our hikes looking over the river valley. This was taken last Sept.

Really great shots...for different reasons. You are terrific!
Nancy
like them both!

Very good choices. Your depth of field is perfect in the first one, it really brings out the detail in the tree and bird. You can sure see for miles and miles in the second one.

Very good pictures. Helen
Those are some great examples. The dead tree adds to the feeling of elevation and interest. mark
I love the bird in the tree. I used to do a lot like that with my SLR, years ago. I can do it with my new Digital but I've yet to read the manual to discover how.
Linda.
I don't fly, either....funk that. The next plane I climb into will be a B-52.
Thank you, Julie, for leaving a comment in my journal about this week's photo shoot. I've been browsing your journal and I'm impressed with the photos. Yours remind me of Greg's in NC. Loved the Sioux falls shots. Where is Sioux falls? I'm geographically ignorant here. Someday my husband and I will travel out west to experience the vast countryside of the mid-west and the west. I told him we should attempt it before we retire, in the event that either one of us should not make it to retirement. We're healthy now, we should do it now. Thanks for visiting me. And if you have written a poem that is suitable to share with a fifth grade class, send me the link. I enjoyed your journal. bea
