The birds and squirrels are storing up getting ready for winter. Makes for some great shots at the feeders and some really fat squirrels.

The nuthatch picks out the sunflowers.
The Hairy Woodpecker is waiting its turn for the insect suet.
I couldn't get any pictures of the Junco's as they don't stay in one place long. Also all of these are done on auto mode because most birds swoop down on the feeder and go. The squirrels have doubled in size and look downright obese.

I like how the bird is coming in for a landing with it tail feather's apart. The feeder is unusual and I had to look close to see how it is formed. I have never seen one so artistic as that. My squirrels do not get that large in the fall. I have pecan, hazzlenut, and walnut trees with red, white, and pin oaks not old enough to produce acorns. As a signpainter for over 20 years I used gray squirrel hair brushes that before computer vinyl lettering, now the standard, the availability of squirrels for brushes was getting to be in shortage. I feel I owe them something for the living they provided me. mark
